Why DOO SKI-DOO motors blow up at such a low mileage?

And how do you know that lol. Any data?

Some of the guys I ride with suffer from a disorder that leads them to believe skidoo is a brand worth riding. Some very nice days have been ruined towing the Doo 850's out to the trucks.

We've never towed an 800etec home with a motor failure.

I have yet to loose a motor on any etec since 2012, the 800s sure were good, currently have 5 etecs 800-850s most miled one is 4000 miles 2014 800xm, buddy lost a rod and punched a hole through his case on his 2019 850 3000 miles was just leak down tested before the trip, ive heard of a few guys loosing top ends, first to hear of any one adding a inspection hole in the side of the motor. I have personally lost more mountain days on my 17 850 then any other sled ive owned but my 2020 has beeb flawless so far

I have suffered on the 800s as well as the 850s. The 800s lasted way longer though. I had 5000 miles on both of mine before they blew up. But the 850s only make 3000-3500 Kms before they get flown/pulled down. Be a cold day in hell I’m riding another 850 with over 3500 Kms without warranty.

I didn’t know that doo released a motor, are they a issue? I’d like to see a doo motor.
