Where can you ride not to far from Edmonton

Hello all! Been a dirt biker for 40 years. Never thought it would happen but.... just got a new RZR 800, and wondering about short day trips from Edmonton suitable for such? Last few years have ridden mainly at Long Lake. Ideas?

Medicine Lake, just about 2 hours SW of Edmonton towards RMH or you can go north to Vega/Redwater

No, many miles from it in fact. If you are crossing the ferry on the Athabasca it's about another hour west and north from the Clyde corner intersection to get to the sand hills. I would suggest around Smith for shooting sand over Vega. Nowhere near the traffic up there versus Vega that is a crowd magnet. I have an acreage near Pickardville and there are two places I will no longer ride out my way. One is Vega, and two is Long Island Lake. Way too many people, and trails that are torn to pieces. I prefer to ride and never see another machine out of my group the entire day.
