Joey,
I can see by the responses you received I may be wasting my time, however I still have a little faith in humanity, so I will treat this as a real desire to get the most out of your MM.
I ride a 2002 MM 700 and on a very tight budget I have made the following mods:
rail extensions $100
bar risers 12 inches total and moto bars from my dirt bike $100 (the single best thing I did for performance)
151 track $75. no tunnel extension necessary
ported my track (free except the three hours it took)
cut out sections of hood and replaced with screen and aluminum supports
cut out sway bar and adjusted suspension (stiffer up front and looser in rear)
removed some of the wheels and flipped a set inside of the rails (free and not only saved some weight, it allows the track to roll a little for side hilling)
I cut off half of the seats length and raised it up by adding some different stiffness of foams and some vinyl I had around due to the taller bars.
I did all of the work myself because I enjoy it and and didn't want to put a bunch of cash into an older sled. I can ride this and save for the xp I want.
I will say, just in case, I bought all of the proper avi gear and wear it on every ride.
I hope this helps and if you want more detail on the procedures of any of the mods please feel free to pm me.
Cheers,
Mike
