Does adding vent kits really work, what kind of gains can you expect....belt life...etc??

Yes they do work, especially in the turbo models.... Less engine compartment heat.. Have tested with and without vents with a temperature gun..... definet temperature difference. I see you run a Dragon... Have you looked at the Fire and Ice kits.... really nice fit and finish vent panels. Summer Sucks carries them in Red Deer AB.

I have looked at those kits, i just didn't want to spend 200-300 on something that didn't work or have any advantages.

Why not just remove the cowling at the back around the fuel tank - would that not work just as well? Any hot air would be instantly removed through the back. I too question the vents on stock/slightly modded sleds.

Yes well worth the price , I run two 2.5 in. on the cluch side a 1 on the can side , plus the vents (cold air intake) clutch runs much cooler.
