So the 11 was idling low and rough. EGT was cold on Mag side. Took carbs off today and lo and behold, the mag side spring that holds the slack out of the flatslide linkage was broke. Replaced the right side last year, and it was half worn already. So removed them both, and put a thin Zip Tie around the linkage to hold up slack.
Just a heads up if your having idle issues etc. When one breaks, the slide drops down and closes off more than the other. I guess could just leave them out completely. The kinda hold the slides up on the linkage. Without something they could bounce up/down a bit I think, causing erratic idle
