I had a ordered a new track & the business shipped it out via Purolator. It was supposed to be delivered last Friday. When I checked the tracking # it was noted as “weather delay” . I followed up for an inquiry since there has not been an update since last Friday (12th) The trace specialist has contacted me twice. Once for all the details of the product, another today to see if I still wanted it shipped to me if they find it.
I also asked what the next steps are & would expect that they will find a 60 lbs track somewhere but what has your experience been on this? Is Purolator on the hook, the business or me?

If it's insured well they will find it, if it's not insured well it's gonna be a crap shoot in my experiences with them and Canada Post which are basically the same thing.

I shipped a 75lb commercial drone in a hard case about 3ftx3ft. They lost it and I was out the money. Didn’t have insurance as I didn’t think there was any way in hell they could F that up. Boy was I wrong. Said it went to the “undeliverable mail” facility but they wouldn’t look for it and everything there gets destroyed. I said give me the address I’ll drive down to the states and look myself. I was the one that shipped it without insurance and I was on the hook so I would assume the seller would be on the hook for your track

Wow, crappy deal for you!

I never saw an option to insure it when shipped, there were different prices based on urgency.

Had a relative who worked for CP. Involved in a "Hormone Supplement Importing Scheme" - AKA Smuggling Steroids. Worked for the mail carrier in the system and was still so fawkin stupid he got caught. This is what happens when you hire the bottom 10% of the graduating class. I don't believe lots of this stuff really goes "missing", it falls off the loading dock into someones pick up.

Our mail didn't get delivered last week because of the extreme cold. Maybe it just got backed up and on the bottom of the pile
