Burt Reynolds passed today I guess. He was and is still a fave of mine in many movies...yes that dates me, that’s ok.

I guess most of us are dated Dave. Also a favourite of mine and some great movies that I have watched over and over. RIP Bert and may you race around the heavens with the pedal to the metal.

I showed my kids (6 and 9) cannonball run a while back. They loved it. East bound and down Bandit!!

RIP Burt. Fun fact: Smokey and the Bandit was the second highest grossing movie in 1977 with $300 million in earnings vs $461 million for Star Wars. You could buy a Corvette for around $12,000 then.

Smokey and the Bandit, was the first movie I saw in a theatre, in west end Edmonton, when it was first released. A quite a few years later I bought a 75 T/A white with a blue bird and the 6.6 Bored it out 60 thou, crank, heads, cam, carb, valves, tranny rear end. She was a sweet ride at 19.
RIP buddy, thanks for the great memories of all of your movies. Another fave "The Longest Yard"
