I recently had the PRIVELEGE of riding with Chris Brown out in Golden this past weekend! I have to say it was amazing .... i saw riders with very little sledding experience at the start of the clinic sidehilling through deep powder like a pro at the end of it! For the cost this is a must attend clinic for all riders, from those with no experience to the weekend warriors (like myself) to even the best riders who need a little brush up on technique. Not only is it great clinic for a very personal one on one technical guidance but Chris also goes through some very amazing Avalanche training .... a must have for all of us back country enthusiasts! I was truly impressed with the time Chris spent with each of us one on one in helping with areas of improvement. If you are lucky enough to get a spot in one of his clinics jump on it!

I did an clinic 2 weeks ago whit Chris whitch is an amasing easygoing guy and patien. After the riding whit Chris Brown all I can say .....WOW I learned a lots about avalanch safty first and is been so good whit me practicing my side hill he just did not give up and haveme to do it thats it, because Im from the snow cross kind off. I had a blast whit a respectfull guy .......thanks Chris see you soon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for coming guys! We had an awesome group which made for an awesome weekend. I think everyone had taken an AST1 course so we just refreshed on some multi tranciever searches, proper shoveling and probing techniques, we dug a pit to show everyone the layers, crystal types and they performed some compression tests. We also discussed trip planning, safe route planning and assessing terrain.We worked on slowing the sled down to control it on a sidehill and using your legs and body to balance and had everyone taking lines through the trees that they would not have tried before. We worked on other boondocking/riding skills and side sliding down steeper banks. I had a great time with everyone and I was glad to see them all take home some new knowledge and some new skills. I can't wait to do it again!Big thanks to Aaron and Kim Bernasconi from Mountain Motorsports in Golden who hosted the clinic. You guys made everything run so smoothly and Aaron was great to work with in the field. Here are a few pics from the riding clinic. I also went on the Riding clinic in Golden..Had a complete blast.The Avy portion of the course was a great refresher for me.
Prior to the ride Chris asked me what I wanted to work on and had no shortage of tips to help me out.
Watching Chris ride the Nytro through the trees in technical terrain is jaw dropping! Love to see you know who try that.LOL
Aaron did a fantastic job from setting up a great chalet for accomodations,Avy training,riding tips and picking some stellar spots to ride!
It was a absolute pleasure to ride with Both Chris and Aaron and the rest of the Guys as well.It was a great group.
Would go again anytime!!!

Sorry Rudy...my web guy was working on it and then went on holiday. It should be up again soon. Each clinic is slightly different depending on if meals are included with the lodging but they are $795-$895 for the weekend with lodging. Feel free to email me ridewithchris@gmail.com

The one piece is not me (although I do have some) and I think he was trying to himark that tree and went over backwards. It was pretty funny!I'll be teaching AST1 courses and a custom course I am working on in the Sea to Sky corridor starting in February.

I'm looking to attend a mountain riding school/clinic in BC. I see that in addition to Chris's riding school out of Whistler, there is one run by Carl Kuster based out of Sicamous and Valemount. I'm considering attending this one unless Chris is going to be back to the Golden/Revy area sometime soon as Whistler is a bit of a hike? Any other good camps or options out there?

Working on permits for two camps in Revy in March and we will be adding another Golden clinic for the weekend of March 31. Also looking into a permit for one in Valemount/McBride March 2-4. I'll keep you updated. Thanks
