I didn't do the speed limiter so it cuts out at 160 but it spent a couple hours on 160 during the trip , only seen 2 cops on the way down but about 20 on the way back

from PG to kitimat average 110kph I can get 13l/100km in my 5.0...thats with roush intake and exhaust

in winter averaging 120kph from wills puddle to pg I get around 15l/100km...but thats what the lieometer tells me so I take it with a grain of salt

And in town I can do as bad as about 18l/100km in winter but thats 10-15 minute remote start warmups...gotta love heated seats :D

Edit: its a 13 f150 fx4 screw lwb, and sorry to contribute to the thread jacking

I just got back from Las Vegas , 2011 duramax with delete average speed 140 km I was getting 11.2 L per 100 km that's from leaving edmonton to vegas and back

I think what ever programmer you're running turned your lie-o-meter into a big-fat-lie-o-meter. Have you done any hand calcs?

Why would you say that ? You don't think it's possible . Truck is stock minus dpf delete , intake and H&S mini max . I get around 1100 km per tank

At the 'average' speed you quoted, I just can't buy it. I drive two LML's, one now deleted.

I'd buy it.
I averaged 17-20 mpg doing 130-140km/h on the same drive. If you don't hit any wind for a lot of it and there aren't really too many mountains.
This was in my EFI tuned lifted Dmax running a slightly de-tuned race tune and all hand calculated in early summer. No A/C cuz it didn't work either so maybe that helped lol.

21 mpg is pretty good for a lifted truck. My 2011 F350 with 4.5" lift and 37" tires would avg 17.5 L/100km.

I'd really like to see this pull a loaded 28ft sled trailer to vale, loaded with 4 sleds. Contemplating downsizing with the know mileage output from the new eco diesels. Still thinking the trailer would own a half ton.

I would love to get a new half ton and save the 20g but it just cant doo the jobs I need done. I dread the thought of a urine burning piece of sh!t in my fleet.

My old 5.9 gets the same kinda mileage.Less than 10 l/100

Yup. My 03 cummins gets between 10.5 and 11.5 depending how fast you run it. Full power but not so quiet!! The new truck sounds impressive for a commuter/light work truck.

72000 Kms on my truck already. Not a squeak , rattle or any wind noise yet. Drives like the day I picked it up. The engine has a lot of torque and the 8 speed works awesome. Do wish they would come in a 2500, the engine can handle the weight.

My 03 gm 2500hd gets 11-12mpg city type driving, 430k and no major repairs, my 07 5.3 gets 23mpg highway 250k and lots of repairs.
If I could find something that gets the reliability and towing of the old truck with the fuel economy of the 1/2t then I'm sold.
That said, I drove the eco-diesel with air ride and really liked it but I'm a skeptic and am willing to wait for some to get wore out before spending a lot on one. I know of several dodge owners with electrical issues and that eco-diesel has 40 modules on that motor and that spooks me
my 2cents worth
