yah i think i need a new 02 sensor its probably 5 years old. sled runs great but using fuel like crazy and its readying low 14s...so that doesnt add up.
If you've ever run 100LL (avgas), LL stands for low lead, buts that's relative. 100LL is actually pretty high in lead compared to the old leaded car gas, and the first symptom is contaminated O2 sensors.
Thanks for this thread. I was under the impression that an etec didn't have an O2 sensor. I had planned to put some 100LL into the fuel instead of Stabil for the summer. Won't do that now!
Do you notice any lead dropout in the exhaust? Like powdery white/grey dust? We run av in the race boats, headers are full of it and exhaust ports.Av gas will not hurt the etec system. Been running it all year.

Is this a turbo of NA ? Looks rich for a NA but for a turbo would be on the lean side for sure. Don’t over octane if your not running big boost 94 non ethanol or SL 99 for up to 10-12 psi is all you need. Loose bottom end and power with to much octane. Stay away from AV it works but it’s not designed for sleds it’s designed to run at a constant 3500 rpm. It’s Low led and about 96 octane because it is rated different for air craft. It can handle lots of boost because of it’s makeup but it definitely sacrifices low end response and kill fuel filters fast. AV also burns much slower then pump or race fuels so will show a richer burn on the same tune
i cant add any more fuel to the map without it bogging on the top end.
