Old Phazer Budget Rebuild for the Daughter

Well the Daughter is 9 rode Mom's 700 last year and she scared me on that so I thought I would do a Phazer II Build to give her something to have a good time with Dad on...:d Trying to do this as inexpensive as possible, found one 2 weeks ago from a friend that lives behind my Dad in a Orchard. I thought to myself once I started what are you doing... lol :d oh yes the price was FREE....lol

Since I started i figured I would need some parts..lol

So I put the word out that the Booster was looking for pieces. less than a week later this is what i came up with.. 2 more II one donor and 1 complete less power plant.

2 is better than 1 I guess so why not get 3 and make 2..lol. so off we go rip and tear still asking myself what are you doing.

So this is the one I'm going to take the power plant that runs out of the other one and make this one hers......:d:d:d

i learned to ride on my dads modded phazer, love those sleds. If i could pry my aunts away i would, she hasn't ridden it in several years and likely never will again but you think she will get rid of it? No.

Good luck on getting it done for christmas, wish my christmas gifts were half that good when i was a kid, lol.

What a great project.... You're building 1 out of 3 sleds.... My son and i did a similar rebuild not long ago.... You sure get to know the sled up close and personal, let me tell you..... Enjoy, and "hurry", christmas is coming, my dear friend!......... Lol

We've got one of those that just keeps on going although it needs a little attention now as well. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the ins and outs of the Phaser but judging by how many pieces they are in I'd say pretty familiar. Anyways if you want to upgrade the track go with 7 tooth drivers which will allow you to get a 1.75 in there. I'm not sure if a 2" will jam in but it'd be tight. The old Polaris 136 1.75" track works very well and can be found for next to nothing. Skis are a must and I ended up putting on some wider and higher bars for my kids. The stock bars are so narrow that they don't create much leverage for the lighter kids to be able to steer it easily. Check out this Snowest thread if you haven't seen it, there are a couple of Phazer mods in there. I did a Phazer 500 last year for my kid.

Thank you M5 forgot to mention that I got a 97 700 1 1/2 136 track and the 7 tooth will be here today..:d I need to check out that thread.. :d:d

Yes it is....lol and M5 I have rebuilt my old Exciter 3 times so I have seen the insides a couple times of these.....:d:d
