Just curious but what is the rule of thumb for early season riding because I haven't done much early season riding in the past? From my understanding quads/ bikes aren't allowed in the alpine in the summer so how does that work for sleds? As soon as there's snow your good to go or is there a date or something when it opens up?

just go by snow amount. Watch for land mines early riding. Usually try to get in touch with some locals for feedback if possible.

Went up to Lucile Nov 4. Drove up approx 6km and rode from there. It's good getting to cabin but really rocky past that. Poked around a little and called it a day before we wrecked a sled. Might be 2ft. Still need more snow but good to get out.
