and ya' that side burner always has great potential. I use it for shrooms/onions, old fashioned perked coffee for special breakfast when using the BBQ griddle for pancakes, eggs, bacon. But I never seem to use it enough.

After one buys the BBQ, one has to make it convenient to use the whole shebang......

I'm sure I won't be quite as descriptive as a certain gentleman from Calgary but what the hell, I'll try!

A way back in time............just kidding!

One of my sons needed a shop project for a welding module quite a few years back and that is what he came up with. Had it bronzed and it has been hanging with pride ever since.

Should have had him make a sled lift.

Last night's BBQ servings

-Chicken, marinated in something the better looking half whipped up
-Potatoes, diced, garlic, oil
-Corn on the cob

No photos, cause I'm slack like that.

:D

Yeah, this thread got me pissed off because we all got these side burners that no one uses so my new goal is to use the BBQ for 80-90% of the cooking. Last night I cooked surf and turf stir fry on the side burner, came out pretty good! ("surf" part is hiding under the BBQ lid)

I had a cheaper barbecue at one time with a side burner.. I used it when I was smoking fish in my little stove top smoker. It worked well for that.

This thread should be called "The Hurtn Albertan cooking show"
Hey Willy, here's a couple pics for ya. We do Super Sausage Saturday twice a year, here's the tally from the last one, hanging in our buddies garage near Castlegar. Let me know if you want to come to the next sausagefest or I can drop some at your place on my way by. can bring you some cheap Alberta fuel too so you don't have to pay the high prices like everyone else - Damn buddy $1.30/L for regular? Ouch!!! I'm buying 100 octane av gas here for only $1.86/L

Gotta love Alberta - High paying jobs and low fuel prices! and now with natural gas prices dropping - all this BBQing is making my cost of living even cheaper - didn't even cost me a $1 last night to BBQ my pork chops! fawk yeah baby!
