Fire near Lodgepole

There is a major fire burning near Lodgepole, which has been evacuated, and there are road blocks set up along highway 620, the residents along that highway are on a 2 hour evacuation notice. It is not recommended you travel there for the long weekend.

Yup, the dam is about 26KM SW of Lodgepole on hwy 620.

I just googled it...its 1.5km west of town. Not by the dam. This fire is 4x bigger than the one at Nordegg.

they just reclassified the fire as being held, they do not expect it to grow any further.
