POW-WOW was riding Today and ....WHOA.....

HE said the Mountains are " Slipping & Sliding " EVERYWHERE !!

They seen quite a Few Avalanches !!

BEWARE OUT THERE !!

It is Spring Riding !

The BIG MELT has started !!

THE CANADIAN AVALANCHE CENTRE HAS ISSUED A SPECIAL AVALANCHE WARNING FOR BACKCOUNTRY USERS !!!!!!!

They are calling for Snow / Flurries for the nexy fex days.

This Weekend will have Highs of only -1 during the days and down to -4 at night.

Blue River is 90 kms. South of Valemount....

We plan on Sledding til Mother's Day !

Just watched the News and We are in for a Wack of Snow...

The Wind is picking up here ....I can Smell " Snow " in the air !

I bet We get a Foot out of this Storm they are calling for !

If You have never been to Blue River .....Then Hurray up and pick up the phone and Book in !!

Blue River right now has .." GO ANYWHERE SNOW "

It is sticky but....The Storm is about to take care of that !

Helloooooo......From Blue River !!

Blue River is enjoying Crystal Clear Sky's today with a Temp. of -4

The Guys Sledding here this Weekend said some of the Trails are pretty rough..

Some Wind Blowen Hard Pack areas....

But !....also they were in WAIST DEEP POWDER !!

Sooooooooo with that being said ....

Sledding Season is NOT OVER Yet !!

You can still leave right from the Valley Bottom.

However with the Temp.'s warming up this coming Week from +2 to +8

You will really have to make sure You drive far enough up the Road to unload , as it can Melt up to 1 - 1 1/2 Miles on a Sunny Day !

We had about 8" in Town with that Freak Storm.

We still have some pretty Big Snowbanks in Town !!

Some Guest's of Blue River I was with a minute ago .....

Well We can't Wipe off the Grin's on their Faces !!

They were in about 1 Foot of Powder and Deeper in some Spot's !

POW-WOW ....( My other half ) can draw You some detailed Maps to some Great Areas Here !!

Humm.....about 12 Sledders had ALL this Snow to themselves this Weekend !

Sure there are some Rough Trails and Hard Packed Snow ....But ....If You talk to Us We can make sure You have the same kind of Grin's that We seen tonight !

Now if a HUGE Warm Front moves in... well I would Post that right away !

Give Us a Whirl....Guy's from the Shuswap are Sledding here right now !!

We had People that ran out from Calgary.....( I guess He would have had Powder at Home also !! ...LOL ) SMILES ALL AROUND !!

Blue River Weather Report .....

Well I am looking out the Window right now and it is Snowing Up there !

Huh....It was soooo Clear last night, Oh well Puuurfect !

Blue River has a Temp. of -5

This is My Personal Favorite Temp. !

I will take a Snow Bank over a Sunny Beach ANY DAY !!

I know I am a Sick Puppy.....

North Blue Report .....

The Trail in is Hardpacked , and just a patch of Dirt showing on the Trail so far....

Up at the VERY TOP ....It is Wind Blowen Hard ....BUT !....Like I said it is Snowing Up Top as I am writing this !

The Powder is more in the Trees sooooo Great Boondocking !!

It is GO ANYWHERE SNOW !! AKA ....HERO SNOW !!! LOL

Soooooooo I will keep My " Eye " in the Sky !!
