Hey all sled chefs, does anybody have one on a xp, just seems there is not enough room for a muff pot with the belt mounted above the pipe and of course i don't want any rib grease on the belt, looking for ideas.

Buy the new belt guard so that you get rid of that belt holder and access the pipe maybe? can't remember how yours looks but on my '12 there is room right between the Y pip and where the fat part begins on the pipe. its an open space when you take off the hood. The XM however I don't know how there gonna do it cuz you can't take the hood off? put it on the can I guess?

Re: Best Muff pot meal!!! A few recipes for you all!

K here is a good one you can pull on your crew.....the look on there face will be priceless...Step 1. let them see you putting ingredients into the muff pot, such as sugar, flour, eggs ect ext... Stay with me here....
Step 2. put the muff pot on your sled and ride... at this point they think your nuts
Step 3 . at an inconspicuous time you switch the muff pot for another one that has those mini pre made muffins in it,(i prefer chocolate chip, but any kind works)
Step 4. Whip out your warm "home made" muffins at snack time and watch the wondering begin..
Step 5. The next time your out riding sit back and watch them wonder why in the hell they just wind up with a major mess in there muff pot instead of delicious muffins?

Also a quick tip to clean your pot if, fill it with snow and ride the mess away!

Re: Best Muff pot meal!!! A few recipes for you all!

I will take the time this winter to collate some recipes and produce something that will help everyone out.

Here's another couple that are favorites (dam I have a lot of favorites……) and with the 2-tier pot from the Boulder Sled Shed better known as TheThing, it is amazing what one can up with for a hot meal….:D

This is chunks of BBQ New York strip loin, smothered in vegies, and the Thai Chilli sauce spread on top. More sauce can be added following the cooking process. For the appetizer, lemon garlic shrimp.

20121122_060436.jpg Here is where i put it on my XP. There is 2 inches of clearancefrom the belt and pot. The belt goes around the coolant tank as you see. It isnt easy to mount extras or work on these XPs, but thats the price we pay to ride a real machine.

and if you find that it comes loose and that water-pipe clamp will, go to your dealer and get two muffler clamps and springs (the same size as the one in front of your pot) and attach the base unit with those. I found that the contraction and expansion played havoc with the water-pump clamp. Enjoy the hot meals! They are great and only limited to your imagination.
