A buddys quad of mine has been sitting for a couple years. We changed fuel and oil however it doesnt want to start. When it starts it only runs for a few seconds. A couple times it has backfired as well. Any suggestions???

If the carb cleaning doesn't do it, you may have a seized or partially seized valve.

Had this exact same issue this spring with my lawnmower. Cleaned fuel system completely and still hard starting and backfiring. Pulled head and found a stuck valve, works fine since unsticking measures taken.

Seafoam is the best chit bar none.

I sell tons of it and use tons of it myself.

Car, quad, diesel truck, sled ( very good gas stabilizer)

sent from my htc

suggestion tex, next time mix just an ounce or two with wiskey, may help with the bad gas, man u can clear a truck out!!!

I ran a can through my grand prix after 100,000 kms.Man did it smoke for a couple of blocks.
I dont know if the smoke is proof of the carbon and gunk that is is supposed to clean out,or
if the seafoam itself causes all of the blue smoke?
Any updates on the quad running or not?
