Just had a look at the dyno sheet and it laid down a nice 160.4 HP looks like a good 15 HP improvement from the old motor. Can't wait to get that thing in the new RMK chassis for 2016. Also looks like the midrange fuel consumption will be very low.

Whoohoooooo. Finally up to the horsepower to compare. Sled is awesome lacking 15 hp, can't wait to see what it can do now. Bad part is, I will regret buying the 2013. LOL. Hope they have the reliability issue solved.

The new HO engine has different porting and runs at a higher RPM than the Non HO engine..

Torque values remain the same as before..

The engine is nearly the same engine in terms of piston, bores, stroke, rod length etc. etc.. They just "tweeked" it a bit to produce a bot more power and they needed to increase the RPM to get there...(sounds familiar):)

We accomplish this SAME thing with our Drop In Kits... Get the porting changed and the RPM up where it should be.. Sounds like a solid plan for this engine..

Should be a good engine for racing ..faster response.. but energy conversion might be lost on the long pull due to the lighter crank... Piston is pretty much the same.. same manufacturer, same dimensions.. Skirt collapse?? Time will tell....

I hope this engine turns out to be a reliable show stopper, along with them dropping it in the non Axys chassis for 2016.
