Hi All, I'm really wanting to profile forum life for an article I'm writing.
Why do you participate in an atv online forum?

Good experiences?
Not so good?
Reliability of information?
How do you sift through the info to find what you need?

What Kind of networking and planned rides have you participated in?

of course I'll need pics too. trish@kpimedia.com

Thank you!!

Initially, I just joined to find places to ride and soon realized that it was a good place to learn and get tech help. Then, a group was posting about riding the Rocky rail line. There were 31 of us making that two day round trip where I saw some great sites and made some great friends. I've been hooked on S&M ever since.

The Rocky to Nordegg adventure is a two day ride - one day to ride from Rocky Mountain House to Nordegg and one day to ride back.

I joined a lot of forums(75+) when forums were still in there infancy (shorty after newsgroups if anyone remembers those LOL) from everything from woodworking, travelling, aquariums, automotive, and of coarse snowmobiling and quadding. I enjoyed the chat and learning about new things pertaining to all my hobbies and participated in all the boards a discussions and get togethers which evolved me becoming a moderator on several boards to which some have hundred of thousands of members.

I participate because I want 100 of opinions of thing products/services not 1 from a salesman I pick out the good and the bad and go with the average what people tell me
I sift through by topics it is the one and only sentence that will pull you in so make it count

dale, when these 'errors' get fixed I'll move you to a custom user group that will always have them otherwise you would have nothing to say on here. lol.

Originally friends told us about the site. I joined to find different areas to ride. Meet new people interested in the sport. Also great tech info on machines. Since joining have started riding with a group of people on the site. Weekend or day trips get posted and it's a great way a planning trips.

Na, I like to play too. Actually, Jim split us up again on the way back so I missed the chit show.
