Great pictures, just got back from two days of safe backcountry riding in McBride, will post some pics tonight. Looked like nobody had been there since our last trip in February, had to totally redoo the trail in. Did not see any avy activity at all.

Some pictures from Saturday at Rensaw, broke trail from Ghost lake to Spirit lake and then to the east side of Shale Mountain about 8KM past Spirit lake. Untouched snow all day.

1)Clutch rebuild at KM3...dang cats!
2)Same cat trying to climb a tree
3)Drop into Spirit Lake
4)Through the trees at the back side of the lake

A few more pics of Sundays ride, was a great weekend with untouched snow both days and no avy activity in either area that we rode. The areas we passed on Sunday that typically slide had not moved yet but nobody has been near them this year. Played on the other side of the valley where everything is north facing. Tested out some new UHF radios, a little pricy but crystal clear at 3KM, absolutly no static and come with voice activated headsets....priceless when climbing the creek ONE AT A TIME with long blind spots.
1)Nice and warm
2)oops repeat of the valley
3)Our group
4)Making tracks in the trees
5&6)Some pics by the big icicles
7)Loading up

Hey, I wanted to thank the guy who made those tracks, our whole group stopped and looked at them, we talked for at least 15 minutes about how some people will never learn, it was very educational, thank you

Great pic's for sure. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but here it goes.
There was 30 or so riders after Renshaw was groomed and the trail had broken down already. Complaints about the trail will most likely lead to tonite POSSIBLY being the last nite of grooming that trail. Will go up Thurs. am after the boys ride tomorrow and see how it is holding up. Weather is to warm and no cold means no set-up.
Would just as soon see the grooming end early as have a bunch of mad sledders because the trail is hooped and they paid, even if was groomed the day before. Will keep you posted.

So you're the fools who put up those tracks!! I stopped today and took pics of them and was going to post a new thread called " there are still some IDIOTS"
Guess I don't have to now that you posted for yourself!
Cant believe there are some people who still think " It won't happen to me".

Just had 3 great days of riding Renshaw. Snow is getting pretty set up but getting a sunburn while sledding is .....great!

Just have to throw in a comment about the grooming... I don't mind paying for a groomed trail, but if it's not groomed... can't see why I should have to pay the groomer for a whooped out trail!! If it's too mild to groom, OK , so the trail gets whooped, but don't expect me to pay for it!!

still cost money to run the groomer. I will pay regardless if the trail gets whooped out. If the groomer is grooming. we should be paying. Just my :twocents:

I'm not sure what Barry found out but i talked to Hotrod yesterday and he got your message about the trail. He went out last night (Tues.) to do it again. It's unfortunate the trail is breaking done so quickly and you guys got caught between the days it wasn't groomed. But thats the nature of the beast this time of year especially with temps being so warm. It usually works off of numbers, with 90-100 riders and then it gets done. He may groom every night just because it's not staying in shape. Either way this Sat. was going to be the last run. But it may be earlier. Higgins.

With snow and cooler temps in the forecast i hope the grooming can continue! I have rode renshaw for many years and the past few have been the best for grooming! Job well done by all! I believe that we need 2 support people when a job is done to perfection and i dont mind paying for the trails after the incredible job they have done ALL YEAR LONG!!! HATS OFF TO U!!
