AK4L mine does the exactly the same thing. I have a set of yellow injectors (looks like they came off another sled) that the dealer is letting me try. I will try that, sled has a little over 1000 mikes on it.
Just like it was posted previously, I would check compression again with two different gauges. Also use only top quality gauges like Snap-on. A few years ago I almost tore down a perfectly good engine because of a cheap compression gauge.
Yes they are carbed not fuel injected like back in 09 and 10 also they have no EBC or no ADC. They changed them in 2011 to a "value series" quad that is why they are cheaper now. Still a good price.
The older 800 up to 2010 had EBC and ADC then in 2011 they (Polaris) started the economy series and the XP was there top line. So in 2011 the 800 still has Macpherson struts in front, no EBC and no ADC.
It is only offered in 12' steel wheels. Plus all the other items mentioned in earlier posts...
Thanks for all the info guy's.... After 15 pages of reading There still does not seem to be a common fix for this WOT bog. I have the 2011 163 and it seems to be getting worse. I do notice it gets a little worse as the days ride goes on. I usually have had several stucks and my way of getting...
Last year stock 163" 10-62 weight ran between 39-44mph track speed (8100-8300 rpm) depending on the snow conditions. This year brads head and HPS can only one ride so far heavy snow pulling 10-64 weights ran 7950-8150 RPM . Track speed was 40-44 mph..... I think in a dry powder day should see...
I own both..... both great machines. Xp is smoother riding, better in off camber technical riding, better 4x4 system.
Canam... is faster(quicker), better exhaust sound, more fun factor (wheelies).
Well I just got back from some riding...... I think you guys should just get one of each and be done with arguing...
With that said I really don't like any of the Jap bikes they are underpowered pieces of junk... Just kidding!!
After owning both for a while if I had to choose one I would choose the 850 XP over the can-am.
It is smoother riding and in real technical areas it does better in off camber slow riding.
It instills more confidence for the rider.
The can am is more tippy and jumpy in technical...
