Dealer got back to me today on warranty, mine is good till nov 2024.

1st option - 1 additional year through BRP B.E.S.T. Warranty would be $2235 + tax

2nd Option - 3rd party coverage it will cover up to $10,000 in claims with a maximum coverage of $5000/ claim.

2 years is $1981, 3years is $2190 and the 4 year plan is for $2367. Attached, May just get the 4 year plan then when I sell my sled its more appealing, save some money too.

I was by my dealer today. $2600 for an additional year of BEST. That's steep.

Is that for turbo,my 23 NA was $2595 for 2 extra years of Best
It's a turbo. Buddy had his calculator out so there's some mark-up going on.

I imagine l can buy this from any dealer. This one is five minutes from my house so would be nice to support them. I'm not paying that though. 2 years for $2k l could swallow. Easier to sell after next year with warranty left.

They’ve seen your warranty history on that thing!

Surprises me you can even buy extended after purchasing unit new without a pricey dealer inspection .
Buy the extended up front when buying new or pay for inspection you would think ?

that's a good point.
the extended warranty is so stupidly expensive that they likely make enough money off it so that any actual warranty work is insignificant.

Warranty is kinda like insurance, they might take your claim history into account when pricing it ?

I’m not saying this is the case but dealers will sometimes price depending on the customer. With the BEST warranty there is some decent markup in it. If you were a good customer we would discount it and if you were a problem child with the dealer you might get quoted full pop. It was a non combative way of trying to get you to deal somewhere else. One customer whose cup is always half full are way more work than 10 good customers that are easy to deal with. It’s the same in any industry.

Not Sure
Maybe cause I have never had a warranty claim He took that into account.

With all this talk about turbos not lasting and warranty needed I asked him if he recommends I get it. His reply was "if you have a failure it is money well spent but honestly a guy like you that properly warms up sled and doesn't over heat it is unlikely to have an issue" Said most of the engine and track failures they see are from abuse.

Honestly I think things are exagerated on this forum :ROFLMAO:

Anyone able to tell me about freeride vs hill climb edition. HCE sounds like an ultimate ditch banger.

Much more rigid setup can sit on the back end it barely saggs, felt like a sno cross sled suspension
Sounds perfect. That what I need. Something that can take bagging in spring snow for hours at a time in Alberta. And a spare to my turbo.

The riderz boys racing said they sure are awesome for hill climb racing compared to the experts and free rides
