yup, hence why im a chain fan. Who wants to change 2 300$ belts on the hill
When you go full throttle over the 3' whoops... sometimes
I have put on over 10K miles on polaris sled belt drives since 2016 and no issues

Rather have the option to change a belt if needed then a tow or a heli ride out if a chain lets go.

fair, but alot of us have never had a chain fail in our entire lives so its like why add a potential fail point?

A lot of us haven't had a belt failure either. Get the tension set right and it will last with no issues.
Ive known of 2 chain failures, one on a Sidewinder and one on a G4. Both had to be dragged off the mountain and a day of riding was lost to get the sleds down. Both have gone to belt drives since and only blew 1 belt that I recall due to being to tight on initial setup, but instead of a day lost riding it was only an hour.

Zero quick drive or aftermarket belt drive failure on 7 stock or turbo sleds, nor have I seen one fail in the groups I ride with. Last weekend my son stopped and said he heard a noise on his belt drive side, the noise was a broken exhaust spring under the pulley which we removed if he hadn't caught that it would have shredded the belt for sure. Our sleds get thawed out in the trailer each night and we actually open the side panels each morning and have a look before we head out. I have had 2 chain cases fail in the past 35years though.
