Whining Sound from new sled

Can’t see it being from hy-vo, been using hy-vo stuff in cats for years and never heard that whine before

That sled sounds oddly loud to be a hy-vo whine. I was on a 2022 it sounded like my 2021.


Maybe check the chain tension???

all Skidodoo turbos have Hyvo from 2020.5 to 2022. NA do not. This sound hes talking about comes more from the top side of the engine. not the chaincase

Probably just a PTO bearing with no isoflex…. Wouldn’t worry about it personally. Just keep riding, within tow distance of truck!

All turbo models, including 20.5, have hyvo chain/gears in them. Yes they whine a little bit but not a lot.

Have you watched Muskoka freeriders vid when his sled went down?

nope, dont really pay attention to this person to much.

Fair enough, In the vid where his engine went down, I could hear the whine that the OP was wondering about.
On another forum some are mentioning this mysterious whine as well.
