I would go base model and either some Ohlins or light weight Fox coilovers. Be similar price but a better product.

That pricing is from Dons Speed parts, buddy had a deposit for myself and him. They had 8 deposits total and both of us are getting ours back. Not looking good for Cat to claw back into this snowmobile game.

Two of my buddys pulled there back from dons today to once they got the call cat must not want to sell sleds

If I recall, the MSRP on the 24 Mountain cat started at 20k + fees and taxes. I'm surprised the 858 isn't more in line with the Polaris 9r.

I really don’t understand the price point of the 900 over the Polaris 850. Either. I get that here was some engineering and upgraded parts but it should be like 2500 more than an 850.
I get the associated costs on the boost though over the n/a

You need to price in the Burandt factor. He hyped the ch!t out of those things for years before they dropped an official 9r. They saw an opportunity, and took it.

Given the leftover 23s going for a huge discount, it's cleae there's a decent profit margin in there for Polaris corporate.

We topped out at about 4 inches here in Cold Lake before this thaw hit, and that's 4 inches like a wind blown 4.

Why does the gauge need cell service to work in Canada? I swear the reason Polaris is selling mountain sleds is that damn 7s gauge, its awesome and the reason its awesome is you don't need cell service!

They want $2000 for the gauge and molded hood to accept the gauge, really want this sled but there are some things I am having a hard time looking past. Need to get on one and try it.

Hahaha, how the hell they came up with those numbers, I have a bin here full of aluminum with about 20 Pro-climb and Ascender take off boards from conversions. Between the two sides they weigh less then 4lbs. I weigh one once to compare to our CR boards and I think it was less then 2lbs for the one.
Arctic Cat sales department must be taking the same approach as Skidoo, hook, line and sinker.
Maybe the boards are optional on Cats now, thus the 4lbs saving. LOL interesting
