When I worked for City.
Big Toro units used hydraulic drive motors. Those mowers where 100 grand 12 years ago.
We have 2 Deere zero turns with 54" decks. They run about $6500 a piece. More manageable money to spend lol. Mowers are ridiculous for price for the high end ones.

My dad went to the same thing. We had tractors with 42" decks for years. When the last one died he bit the bullet and went to a zero turn. He doesn't regret it one bit.

My X300 tractor with 42" deck is slow and I'm going to make it slower by adding a mulching kit to the deck to try to reduce the sweeping needed

I've had a 54" kubota zero turn for about 15 years.. had to change the thingy that charges the battery 2 years ago. Other than that flawless!

me gots some nitrous at the shop maybe pick-up the pace a little

OMG!!! Just watched Quick Dick Mcdick and the Saskatchewan grain truck regulation video. We farmed till i was 18 and so much rings true. Anyone else see his stuff. Would share but a little inept. Lol
