How many guys are running winter tires on their HD diesels? I ran a set of studded Coopers the 2017/18 winter season and found that they worked pretty decent on snow covered and icy highways and logging roads. But i also found that they wore out exceptionally fast on my heavy truck. Between the Cummins up front and the sled deck with tool boxes or sleds in the back, tires wear fast in general. I was also pulling a lot of heavy loads at the time, so that probably didn't help much.
I'm thinking about getting a set of Nokian LT3 studded this season, but I'm not sure the difference is worth the extra cost. Any first hand experience with the LT2 or LT3? I'm particularly interested in hearing how they compare to the new "All Weather" tires. I'm running the Toyo AT2 AW tires right now which have the snowflake rating similar to the Duratracs. They work half decent all around, and tread life has been exceptional.
Anyways any feedback or insight is great.
