I got on an Alpha and I wasn't impressed. There was a father/son combination trying out the tippyness and they were impressed with how easy it laid over. IMHO, my G4 is way easier to get on it's side. It kind of reminded me of the old Rev. Specialty sleds had a sweet G4 in Lava Red set up. i'm glad I ordered black and can dress it up with a custom wrap.

I would say they are the same for putting on side. Tried both side by side in shop on weekend.
What makes the Cat feel different is how long the track on the Cat stays flat on ground with sled tilted = major traction advantage.
The others have a lot stiffer edge of track...even doo.
Don't kick it to hard till it gets snow under the track.
If I was a bettin guy those Alpha 1s are gonna be hard getting off the mountain after 10 beer.
If all you wanna doo is crush beers on the hill, you should get one of these....

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-snowmobile/...nt=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=emailI miss the old days of seeing engine swaps, bigbore twins and triples. 1000cc plus builds. Some one needs to put a 1200 bigbore m1000 in a alpha, then I'll be impressed.
I think booth costs and show politics just drove them away from the show. I believe they have an Open House at their store day of show and offer big discounts on product to their customers instead.I didn't see mountain magic at the show, don't remember seeing them there last year either. They used to have a fair sized both/area with them in the past. Always loved eye fawkN them sleds. Specialty had the best "eye candy" sleds IMO.
Why oh why do people do this???https://www.kijiji.ca/v-snowmobile/...nt=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=email
this is what your looking for!
Honestly i didnt see very many sick sleds, what i did see what ALOT of wraps, and some belt drives and some turbos. otherwise stock machines.
Kenny at mountain magic has some assume looking sleds all done up if your looking to see some good looking sleds if that's what your looking for but most sleds can put the average rider in more trouble than he can handle. So I think that's why you don't see as many modded sleds up their as their use to be, have a safe and good season

Its only a major traction advantage if you ride hard pack.
Do you mean Ken @ Specialty Sleds?....they were at the show
I don't think Mountain Magic has supported the show for a few years now....
