Caribou hunting is the best, we're abouts you headed I have been guiding 6 years in the Yukon and it heels getting better, horse back is the way to go

Ya its my dream hunt and has been since I can remember, im bookin in with tim mervyn I was gonna go wrangle for him a few year back but ended up havin knee surgery and not bein able to go so I figured I'd go with him

What does caribou taste like? Would like to hunt caribou but if I don't like the taste of the meat no point in filling the deep freeze with it.

Caribou is unreal meat! I would take it over elk. We cooked a caribou as well a beef roast for comparison and our company or us could not even tell the difference. Very nice meat. Now like any wild game if you chase it 3 miles before shooting it, it will likely not taste that great.

I got a nice young mule buck on Monday night. Not the wall mounter that I wanted but my family likes good tender meat.
