For a Sledding vacation, do Yellowstone. That was by far the best 7day sled trip I've done. Such a big area lots of places.

I have heard that from a couple different people and they all said the same thing you said. I can keep my boy workin on his mom and keep dreamin I guess.lol

You must have lucked out on snow conditions as there is less than more there most years of late. I would take my chances at Revy, Sicamous or Whistler for a sledding vacation. You cant beat deep snow! Lol.
I would in a heartbeat and so would my son but I can't get my wife to even consider it unfortunately. Made the mistake of letting her watch a couple Mountain Mod videos. My bad I know but she won't even consider tryin the Westridge family loop in Valemount. Maybe one day when our boy gets a little older and won't take no for an answer from his mom.lol

If you liked cuba you are in a low percentile. Most Canadians I have asked would not return. And I have asked about 50-60 people that have gone in the last few years including everyone I talked to while there. Our favourite spot is still maui.

This is my kind of vacation.
Great adventure.
Taking old iron, with old engines, and old tech.
No power steering, no power brakes, no air bags.
No air conditioning. next to no radio, (can't hear with windows down).
Towing an older trailer. Again with not much luxury other then 4 walls and a roof.

And traveling over a great distance.

The game is to see if you can make it issue free.
- with out over heating / blowing a hose
- with out losing a tire
- with out running out of gas
- with out losing brakes
- with out the wife whining that old tech is hard on long trips.

Its a fun adventure every time.

+ too many people go to the Topics, how many run north for a 2 week vacation?

Far less traffic, less people = more fun.:cool:

Chicken AK is a dump! The road going there is even worse. Made the mistake of towing my trailer through there this summer. The road is about a grader width wide and has gravel the size of softballs. Yuck. But to each there own for sure. Not something I care to repeat.

When were you up there?
I've heard mixed reactions about it. but only live once, need to see it for my self.

Only regret in life is regretting not doing something. :)

it takes a few trips to hawaii but once you get it figured out you can go there for a great price…the feeling like home and safety is worth every extra penny!!

Yes no guards with M-16's watching the resorts over there. Very safe.

Lahaina in Maui is a pretty cool little town. Lots of excursion choices like whale watching and the Atlantis sub ride. Beaches are sweet as well.

What do you like to do? Been to Maui for 5 weeks total. Do you have your motorcycle license? Any dirt bike or atv experience? I hate water so I can't help with that side of it. Check out the warren and annabelles magic show for dinner and show. Forest bumps is usually pretty good. You can rent Harleys or Arlen Ness choppers if you have a motorcycle license. See tony at skin deep if you want a tattoo. Hana is ok if you take the west side. The "safe" way is boring. The less travelled road can be rough but travels along the ocean and has way better views and obviously less traffic.

Drive up to Haleakala , the dormant Volcano . On a clear day you can see the active volcano on the Big Island . You can just about see the curvature of the earth ! Black Sand beach on the road to Hanna is cool too . Caves and openings to the ocean .
Drive to Lahaina , and you may see whales right from the road .
And most importantly , don't forget to go to Costco for your Kirkland booze !
