And there you have it pure stupidty. You didnt think to maybe take it for a break in ride around home and see how it held up? just like i said if they break it seems to happen in the first 100km but if you can afford a new boosted pro im sure the helicopter out was just spare pocket change.

So when this guy buys a new vehicle I wonder how long he drives it around the dealership parking lot before he ventures out on to the highway. Hey does Visions or Future Shop let you watch your new tv in their store for a couple hundred hours before you take it home just to make sure it works right? This guy has a Super Bowl party at Walmart to make sure his new BBQ holds up before taking it home! Hey Sledjunkie, I was thinking of buying a boat out of California this winter, how many hours should I hire someone to use it for down there before I go through the expense of brining it up here! Or I guess we could go try it on a lake at home?

Wow that made a whole bunch of sense you must be as smart as your buddy. I wouldn't take any new sled straight to the mountains especially if that sled has a known issue that you made an attempt to fix before trying it at home.

So installing rivets does nothing to keep this assembly together? Not a big surprise, hopefully the clamps work, Snow Junky, please come back and let us know how your dealer treats you on warranty for this.

Dealer said they would pull a shaft from either a 2012 or 2013 to give me. Said they would warrenty the shaft if I used a 2013, but weren't sure what they could do if I used 2012 (they are going to let me know). The dealership has always treated me great especially considering I've been running boosted sleds. I'm leaning towards using a 2012 shaft even if it costs me a little money, as there were no issues with these shafts. Just have to see if they will fit.

I think we need to see one fail that isn't pushing an extra 100hp before we make that conclusion.

Well good on them for taking care of you, if they wanted to be dickheads about it they sure could have denied warranty. Not only for being on a boosted sled, but for the holes drilled in the shaft. Don't need to be an engineer to see that if the glue fails the rivets will tear out in that service.

I wonder if the dealer treats you good because of the money you spend there every year or the mechanic you spend a lot of time with in the warehouse???

I don't know of anyone in our group that breaks a sled in before it goes to the mountains......and I live in the mountains. So should all the guys that live in Revy drive to Calgary to ride their new sleds to make sure everything is ok? It sucks that some issues are arising; but a guy buys a ProRMK to ride in the mountains and that is where most guys are going to give their new sled it's first real test.

Oh come on, that's just stupid, none of what you said made sense! Hahahaha. He should have broke his sled in out in the stubble fields before he left for the mountains!

I ride with multiple Mountain Magic turbo sleds; including boosted Pros. Usually half the sleds in our group are boosted; some of them being tuned to be released to customers. How is a sled builder, that is tuning a mountain sled before they release it to a customer supposed to properly clutch and tune the fuel mapping on a sled built to be a 5-8000' mountain sled, when they are testing it at 1500' in a stubble field? I've never waited to put miles on a sled before taking it to the mountains. Run a couple of heat soak cycles, make sure the oil pump is working, mix the first tank of fuel, and go. Maybe do a little research before you call someone out next time.....bro.:p

Ya; I guess I did. No; I haven't been out with a '13 with a riveted drive shaft. My point is riding a sled with minimal load on the drive train on flat ground does nothing to ensure that a part will not fail under the regular stress put on a sled during normal mountain riding. I'm not saying that I think it is stupid or anything like that to go rip up and down the ditch a few times if it makes a guy feel better; but you will not be able to duplicate a hard WFO climb in 4' of pow anywhere but where these sleds were meant to be ridden.
