there's a big difference with being drunk and stupid vs being arrogant...jmo:d

heard the driver wasn't drunk.........

They're still responsible for their actions........... The revy club needs to get involved with this, if they already haven't...... Repercussions will happen. Don't let wieggle get ahold of this one........

It looks like you're missing my point...please re-read my last two posts:D Wiegle has a much better opportunity to find out about it on HERE. I guarantee someone from his operation monitors this site on a regular basis. Besides, we don't need his help...we do a good enough job of ruining our own image.

I DON'T agree with what happened here...however IMO, broadcasting it on here only draws more negative attention to the sport. Like I said....needs to be dealt with on the DL...not in the "watchful eye".

Prespective check.......................... Revy has how many areas to ride LOTS how vast are the areas HUGE....................... Idiot goes to the new skihill, In front of a multitude of skiers exiting the chair...........unreal. As for keepin it on the lolo Im sure a bunch of skiers are on public forums and mentioned what they saw. This is an isolated incident and I hope M.W has someone being paid wasting his time and money monitoring all the sled forums. They will also discover how proactive we are towards being a responsible back country freeriding group.;)

There is no diffrence both acts illegal and as a responsible group we do the responsible thing and influence said groups to deal with the situation if we have the means. IMO it shows we are trying to be responsive to the problems that exist.
:crapfan::D

I agree with you Jay, but when it turns into a pi$$ing match between a few people...it makes the responsive nature look like adolescence and draws negative attention...JMO...

So you are saying turn the blind eye? Not my style. If you want to sit on your hands when you see crap like that and hope by saying nothing it will go away that is you style. I am actually sorry for turning it personal. If you want to not do anything in your back yard that is fine, I live here, work here, and RIDE here, it affects me bubba, guess you are far away and it's easy to tell me I should shut up. I choose to stand up and say something, my choice.
Wow you clearly can't read in a thorough manner or you just choose to not notice things. I said it should be handled, but not out on the web. Take it to local club and have the club approach the person.

Yea It's in your back yard but don't try and be naive to the aspect that it is the same in all of our backyards. I live with in an hour of riding areas which many would tell you are every bit as good as what you have and don't think we don't have similar issues.

I am merely saying the method to your action is one that not only is ineffective but also makes an event even more out in the open for the opposition to get their hands on the material and use it against us. Thats fine you can do it just as I can in turn tell you that it sucks and here is why it sucks.

I respectfully disagree....if the posting convinces only one sledder otherwise who may have thought the actions of the offenders was "cool" then it has served a purpose. I have never ridden over a cabin, but can admit to thinking it could be done on more than one occasion. I will certainly now do my best to convince others not to try it if I happen upon someone contemplating this "feat". If someone does stumble upon this topic in a search, I only hope they wouldn't discount the overwhelming disappointment of these individuals within the sledding community.

I hear ya but by havin his pic up and his F.B page mabey chit needs to go viral. I know a dad who won't shoot his daughters computer again.lol. I'm sure even if yahoo doesn't get charged all the negative attention he's got will prob make him think twice before attempting it again. I know the Revy locals could make it an uncomfortable place for him to hang for a bit.

Hi All and thanks for the letters some of you have been sending.
I just joined the forum to check out the thread.

First I would like to take the opportunity to explain that TOBE Outerwear of course do not support any illegal activities or violating of local regulations. Our company respects and support the work many of you do to keep areas open and to give good PR to our sport.****If there is someone here that can help me get in contact with Canadian organisations working with these questions we would be happy to be supportive members.

The person you accuse in this thread is someone I know as a great guy and consider a friend of me/us. However, as some of you have noticed, he is not a sponsored athlete of ours since almost six years back and we haven't met for many years. I find it a bit strange that we would be responsible of his actions, what ever he is accused of. I can only assume that he has the judgement to not do anything that jeopardise the sport.

As for the question if TOBE is still around I'm happy to inform you that we are since last year present in Canada again through our distributor Gamma Sales.
We just launched the 2013 collection and since the attention we've been given in this thread have been, well, a bit negative you could make it up to us by checking out our online catalog. ;)

Hope that didn't violate any forum rules now...

I can see were this thread can be bad and good! Good because we got the azz hats name and picture of who he is out there! a lot easier to recognize someone from a picture rather than he is 5'9'' blue eyes brown hair and wears a red coat! And bad because yes it does make it easier for the other side to find ammo but if we dont do anything about it then nothing will get done. Yes we need to talk to the local clubs and see what they are doing about it or gonna do but atleast we got some good info on what some retards are doing to affect our sport in a negative way.

Good point tee...that's putting a different perspective on it. Many ways to look at it, I guess. The public forum thing does raise awareness, but also attracts attention. Which can be both positive and negative. I guess I don't necessarily think that posting the topic was a REAL bad thing, but how some choose to deal with or respond to the post definitely can be detrimental...IMO:)

how many of these 6 yr old dvds does tobe sell, maybe only a few, but still making money. the general public would be more favorable to the sledding community if they can see sledders putting forth an effort to chastise this guy. versus a do nothing attitude we are seeing from a few posters who seem to want absolutely no mention of this incident anywhere. it seems that no one in the skiing community talks among one another hmm. i doubt that. maybe a few e-mails to this years film producers, that if they use this guy in any films upcoming, the e-mailer will refrain from purchasing them. may or may not have any effect, but the message will get out quickly.

thanks for the response, tomas... I'm glad you're back in business, as you made some great apparel, years ago. We have some tobe garbs in our family and they are good clothes!!........... I don't think this thread is blaming you or your company for "justin's" actions, but rather hopefully swaying you from sponsoring this rider, as his actions will no doubt cause problems in and around the revy area, probably for years to come......... Cutting off and bothering heli-skiers, riding in revy's watershed supply area(non motorized vehicles only area), and riding in and around the revy ski hill(private property) are the issues that will cause repercussions.

Again, welcome to the site tomas!!! :)

Maybe I'm out to lunch here, but why are snowmobilers balled into this little group that are responsible for the actions of a small number of dick heads?

Because unfortunately the small number of dickheads end up getting all the attention and the good peeps are transparent to the general public. Thank the sensationalizing news media for that.
