had to stick to the first bowl in Westridge today. Too dangerous to go any further. The slide happend on the face just to the right of where you go up and over into the 2nd bowl. Pretty scary stuff! Stay off of wind loaded slopes with steep rocky faces.

morning glory slide this morning!! nobody involved !! Careful out there !!!

yeah, pretty sure this was yesterday. second time this year and Im pretty sure there is still a sled at the bottom somewhere from the first one.

CAC has been stating to be careful around shallow snowpack areas, rocks, thin trees etc especially on slopes the size of Mt Robson...

Please be careful out there guys. We had a sick day, without exposing ourselves. Play Safe

They got the sled out, took them 2 days to find it. I think it was 2 weeks before christmas if that was the same one in morning glory.

re; Westridge avalanche, myself and my partner rode up to the top to see about dropping into the back side of Westridge, stopped up top, talked to 2 dudes that were already up there, they turn around and went back down and after a few minutes we decided to turn back. I came down first ,Dallon waited a bit then started down behind me. at this time, unknown to me, some young guy was climbing on that face and triggered the avy. the scary part for me was I did not know the avy had started as it was behind me and pickin up speed !!! I didnt hear it or feel a rumble....nothing. Dallon came roarin past SCREAMING avalanche, I looked back to see this thing lickin' at my track so pinned 'er straight down, scared the ch!t outa me!! turns out everyone was OK, even the guy that started it, he said he stayed on top by grabbing at the big chunks of snow........this could have ended ugly!!! Avalanche report was bang on............think I need to go buy a new pair of riding pants,

ya i seen you rippin once you turned around and seen that monster coming at you.

the scary part was once we all arrived there was a half burried sled and no rider.

turns out the guy was helping his friend down the chutes to the left and parked his sled up top.

i dont even think he knew his sled got nailed.

gota say though about 30 seconds everyone had their beacons on search and we had a dead signal asap. so good job guys.

it only took 2 marks to bring this down.

One minute I looked up, got down turned and looked up again and it had let go. Glad to have trenched were I did. Took 3 of us out of the equation. Who knows were we would have been. But I knew Robbie and Dallon went up and around that way. (Shatt) Once I got down and we went back up, I got the full view and found the two boys were ok and no one was missing any of there buddies.. Way too close!! Our group was pretty much done for the day. We were all VERY LUCKY. Especially dude that was caught!! It was a very scary experience. Sure opens the eyes and how mindfull one has to be when riding in that kind of country!!
