Swan Hills 2011/2012 Season

Well if you come across 2 lost riders, that might be us. Dont know the area at all.

Its pretty easy up ther now a days................rode up there a lot a couple of years ago..............well before they got a groomer...........now its a groomed trailed to GT..............still good up there to ride.............

We want to ride in the deep stuff, and avoid trails. Im sure we'll be OK but just in case. We are on M7's. Black 1 and Orange 1. Hope to maybe bump into a few S&M members up there.

Well ya got to take the trail to get to the pow unless you pack a chain saw............

I was up there last thursday and Friday the snow was great. The farther north and west we went the better the snow. WE staged right in town.We staged on the Goose tower road at mile 28 before but heard two pick-ups got hit by logging trucks. We rode part of the goose road it was quite narrow . I heading up sunday maybe Saturday if I can get my sled back together. Maybe run into some of you.

I wanna take the wifes uncle tomorrow somewhere. Never been in Swan Hills area before but sounds like there might be some snow there. It is his first time on a sled and he will be riding a M6 141, where would you recommend I take him.

If you head to Swan...right in town you will trails heading right across the highway 32. Then take him for a ride......the trail is marked pretty good.

Thanks for the advise was also thinking of Virginia Hills by Whitecourt a little closer to home.

We are all loaded up and ready to hit the road first thing in the morning. Going down the gas plant road, and heading left at the "Y". Anyone else going to that area tomorrow?

How was it? I was supposed to be riding the Freeman area today, but had some issues with my truck, so I cancelled,

Ya about 5 min out of town lol found some nice hills to climb.... I pretty much got the area figured out
