So, last year I did a comparison of the MSRP's for the new sleds. Here's a follow-up. Obviously, Cat hasn't released their pricing yet, I'll update this thread when they do. Once again, I'm only looking at the 800 class machines.

Notes:
Yamaha has not changed at all.

Doo and Polaris have so far seen prices increase for american sleds and price decreases(!) for most of their canadian sleds. The response to the fluctuating dollar is slow, but there has been a response - glad to see it! The exception is the Ski-doo "mid-range" sleds, they've gone up in prices (for both sides) probably due to the E-Tec. The remaining carb 800 saw a pretty good price drop on both sides of the border.

All prices are the manufacturer suggested prices as listed on their respective websites.

Edit: Cat prices are up now. Putting them here, apparently they are taking them off the site...? Note the pricing at this time for the 800 snopro doesn't differentiate between the 153 and 162 tracks.

For all:
Model Name - $Canadian - $American

Arctic Cat
  • M1100 Standard 153" - $12,399 - $10,899

that right there is the sled to be had. most people will never outride this sled and there is nothing wrong with a 800r carb sled.

It is not easy converting CAD dollar to American. Oh wait is it not 1.03 canadian for 1 american dollar??? That would make the 3000 dollar difference?? People just do not understand high finance.

Too bad you won't know what the dealers bought them for, or how much margin they have to work with. In reality it could still be ahuge difference between the US and Canada, with the marketing teams carefully choosing their "list" pricing strategy.

Bump. Added Cat's pricing. Might change, they're apparently in the process of taking prices off their website...?

Huh, they really did pull down pricing from the Cat website.

Off memory, their website used to show:
2012 XF8 LXR $13550 CAD
2012 XF8 SP $13610 CAD

This morning I got my prices by using the "compare sled" feature on the site. So they haven't pulled it completely yet.

You might as well add the cost of an extended warranty, fuel to drive it back to the dealer 2-3 times, and a backup sled into the Polaris pricing...
