It can be a costly venture :crying3: Hopefully not so in your case. My dad had to do a new well on their acreage a couple of yrs ago. Kicked the sheet out of $10,000 easily. Mind you, area has alot to do with pricing. It's all about the oilpatch $$ around here

The lady who I was talking to today, said it will be $2000.00 on the high side if I can wait till Tuesday. If not.... double it for an emerg call out.

I can wait!

They had me shut my pump off and see if it will repressure itself.
I'll know by 1:15 today, when I turn it back on.

the little gray box the contact points are touching the pump should be working, you can move the plate up and down to varifie do this with the breaker off

I have tried that from your advice. Everything is good, just no water coming from the well to the house.

I just turned everything back on & still no pressure. Down to 2psi

What type of pump, submersable or jet ?

Berekly 1/2hp submersible.

My well is 67' down, and was drilled in 87.
Is what the lady told me, they have a full history of my system.

So the plates in the pressure switch are coming together....making contact?

Yes.... but I don't know if thats right or wrong?
I'm horrible when it comes to electricity.
It's the one and only thing I will NOT do myself. LOL

When the water pressure gets low, the "plates" on the pressure switch come together sending power to your pump. Once the water pressure is back up, the pressure switch releases those "plates" cutting off power to the pump.

Many times, it is a faulty pressure switch that needs to be forced on.

You need to take of the grey cover on the pressure switch to see if the plates are connecting. If not, try pushing them together, carefully, with a screwdriver. If the pump does not kick on.....its probably the pump.

I took the cover off and yes those plates are connecting. So I guess it would look like I need a new pump?
