Thanks. Any imput on clutch weights. Currently I have 64 gram weights but I also have electric start. Does the ring gear on the clutch affect what weights should be used. I'm running at about 7800 rpm and want to be around 8100-8200 rpm.

I dont know about the ring gear affecting the clutching, i assume it wouldn't make much, if any difference.

But if you want to gain some rev's put in some lighter weights and experiment a bit. Try some 10-62's if you want.

If you get a chance, try and weigh the clutch weights, cause they vary up to a gram in weight.

ie. my old 10-66's were quite different, two were 66.6 grams, and one was 65.9

Now I'm running 10-62 weights that are actually 62.4

My 04 800 clutching chart says:

3000-5000 feet - 10-64
5000-7000 feet - 10-62
7000-9000 feet - 10-60
