Putting on a used Camoplast track on my skidoo 144". I'll be riding mostly flat land fields etc.
I think it's a challenger 1.75" or 2" with lugs that are sort of cupped. In the direction of the arrow on the track the cups will cup the snow and dig. I've been told it might be better to reverse...

From what I have read on alberta's website, is that you don't need to register unless you are riding on public crown land? Otherwise you need to registration and display a license plate I assume?
Hi guys,
Trying to find a place to stage around this area. Only place I have been told is where the cabins are, but I'd prefer not have to go in to the cabin area and bother people if I dont have too. Also is the riding pretty good out therE?
Curious to know how many people go out solo? Heading out today by myself. Should be others there if I run in to trouble and need I hand I'm betting though.
Was just a thought.
Thought I would try in here as well. Anyone been to the area and know of a staging area? I would like to try venture out there myself today for some riding, try something new.
Afternoon,
Looking to try out the area north of gibbons for a change. Supposedlly its the Opal area? There was a post on hear some time ago about it being near Lily Lake road?
Could anyone help me out and get me some directions to a staging area?
Thanks all, have a safe weekend.
I read late april there was 1.5-2 ft of snow out in the different riding areas. I think we were going to head out to the Spruce Island Natural Area if I am not mistaken, but yah I had read that Vega was still deep in snow?
Anyone been out there recently and know what its like now?
Anyone interested in a SnorkelYourATV Snorkel for a 2006-2011 CanAm Outlander? Bought it and shipped it up from the states but I've decided not to use it. I'm am in the Edmonton Area so I figure someone may want one and this way you wouldn't need to pay shipping.
Has anyone heard anything more on the possible closure of the Bruderheim Natural Area? Last I seen was the proposal back in January of 2010 but I haven't heard of anything else since.
*Update* I did find this:
Says it was updated on April 14 and also mentions "A decision regarding the...
Was thinking of taking the new Outlander out on Saturday to Bruderhiem. Want to start the break in and get it out for a first ride. With the warm weather all this week and a high of +8 on saturday, think there will be rideable terrain?
Have a 2011 Outlander 650XT. Looking to buy skids either the ones from MotorsportsRC off ebay or ricochets. I understand you have to drill two holes which worries me slightly though I am probably over thinking it. I am not doing the frame mod as I feel the skids shoudl be enough (I Hope).

If you put on an aftermarket tire, like a 26" Maxxis Zilla on a new Outlander and you snap a axel or CV Joint. Do dealers typically warranty or not? Just wondering what I would be in for if I change tires from the Carlisle's. That said would they warranty them with Stock tires?
Pretty stoked, made the decision today at the dealer after riding both the Grizz 700 and the Can Am. Was not soley based on power, the Can-Am felt like a better ride and like you had a bit more control.
Might go for an easy trail ride on Satuday, nothing crazy until its broken in and have a few...
Totally on the fence. Looking to upgrade from an 1988 Yamaha 350 Moto4 that is still running pretty strong. Its been throw a lot, virtually zero breakdowns.
Looking to ride casual, for hunting, and some fun riding bit of mud etc. Typically wont be going crazy, just a couple buddies, go ride...
