Oh I know Rhino's are underpowered...I have no illusions about that. But I stand by the fact that a 40 horsepower Yamaha will still move quicker than a 1-2 humanpower Polaris after one of the critical components which was made by the lowest bidder and then assembled by some lazy union worker on a friday afternoon conks out. In essence: A big, loud, flashy, expensive Fisher Price toy...you couldn't pay me to own one. Just my opinion...I'm not trying to change anyone else's.

WOW jealous much? Admittingly underpowered and based on your avitar you still can't keep 4 wheels on the ground?

FYI The Rhino is assembled in the United States at the company’s plant in Newnan, Ga Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation

Rhino: keep it on the golf course where it belongs :lol:

Well I could get into the details about the differences between North American and Japanese/European manufacturing philosophies, but we'd be here all day. I will tell you this little story, you can make of it what you will. A friend of mine went into automotive engineering and he had the chance to talk with some engineers at Ford while undergoing his schooling. He owned a 92 F-150 with a 300 inline 6 and asked why they didnt make the gear on the camshaft end out of steel instead of the nylon plastic they were currently using, as this was basically the only weakpoint in an otherwise bulletproof engine. The straight-up answer he got from the engineers was "Well we cant make it too good or we wont sell any parts." He went to work for Toyota instead, he hasn't bought a domestic vehicle since and he tells everyone he knows not to either. Now this is a automotive story, but if you think Polaris, Arctic Cat, or BRP don't follow this same logic then you are kidding yourself. Need further proof? Ask yourself why Yamaha is the only manufacturer to offer extended warranty on snowmobiles...it couldn't possibly be because the other three are afraid their machines wont make it past two years without catastrophic failure could it??

That`s pretty funny , considering Suzuki make the Artic cat engines. What doe this have to do with your POS rhino though.......

not any more, last ones were the 400,500, and the 700 efi
but they "borrowed" many of there own designs from Suzuki

Well they do tend to tip over once in a while when driving in steep, technical terrain. You know, the kind of places you need a true diff lock to access...

Or you can just buy a rzr and not have to worry about diff lock, true 4 wheel drive all the time, TRUE 4x4. and again the rhino is built the usa no more jap than anything else. Actually most polaris signle cylinder atv engines are built by Fuji Heavy Industries a japanese company. no enough with my rhino is better chit and back to how sweet the new rzr will be.

I have owned both the Ranger and the Rhino and the Ranger is a better UTV hands down. I still liked my Rhino though it just isn't in the same catagory, this is based on actual usage and ownership not rumors from a friend of a friend who's cousin once worked for a Polaris dealer.

It's just the rzr. I like how narrow it is, for the tight trails.

Same as my wifes,,,have no issues at all going the same places as a quad.

In all seriousness, drive and ride whatever makes you happy and in the end we're all on the same team...hope to run into you guys out on the trail so we can continue this debate over a cold one or two :)

You make a good point.
We camp and ride with people who drive all different brands.
The end result is have fun be safe..

Very true muffin man. I ride polaris and you ride yamaha really in the end whats the diff. The pissing match between brands can go on forever they all have ups and downs. All that maters is we all have fun and make it home to tell the story at the end of the day.
Remember if it ain't broke you ain't riding it hard enough. :beerchug:
