If you had a spring or air actuated snow probe on a backpack and were lucky enough to be oriented somewhat vertical with your head up, it would be interesting if the probe could punch up through the snow and unfurl an orange flag...maybe even act as a snorkel until you can be dug out.

This is just one of those silly sitting on a toilet ideas... :d

The downside would be if your buddy was buried above you...

would have to be automated as you are likely to not be able to move your arms

I got voluntarily "burried" during our avy course under this big pit they were digging out .. there was 2' of snow over me and I could barely move or breathe. scared the crap out of me !!!!!!
