i think you need to swap out a bunch of the electrical stuff too . check on totalyamaha theres a lot of info about srx there

I dont have one but i did this very same swap on a 98 srx 700 last year and we changed out to an 04 Viper engine. ALL electronics need to changed out for this. Whats wrong with your engine?? The srx engine is by far a better engine than the vipers were, guess it depends on what you are looking to get out of it.
