Yesterday after my belt exploded at 270 km (yes I broke it in, yes I cleaned it, no i didnt' take the foam out, yes I will take the foam out, no i didn't abuse my belt) I was sitting there cutting belt chunks out of my clutch I noticed a hissing sound.. looked at the oil reservoir and there was a lot of vacuum in there!

seemed like the vent nipple wasn't doing it's job properly .. throughout the day I'd open the side panel and burp the reservoir by opening the lid .. every time there was considerable vacuum

Maybe I have a faulty breather nipple .. keep an eye on yours ! could be bad news for the oil pump if the vacuum builds up too much.

I was wondering how the new wet crank pump works with a reservoir system

Is the 850 much more efficient on oil than the 800?
