TRA Problem?

How much runout should the outer sheeve on my 2014 have? I have a rattle noise at aprox 3200 rpm and vibration so I put a dial indicator on it and turned the motor over by hand and it has about .009 . I can't find a spec anywhere.

Sounds like your TRA buttons have play. To test runout, you have to pull the clutch off and put the dial indicator on 1/8 from the stub end and it should not be more than .003

Is that measurement right on the crank shaft? The reason I ask is that the dealer replaced the moveable sheeve because he said it was not built right and was out of round causing my rattle . I road it on saturday and I still have a rattle he said he checked the buttons and all parts were good. I am new to skidoo and maybe the noise I am hearing is normal.

Are the parts markings lined up, and the big circle aligned with the crank end mark? The clutch rattles a tad..

I would just run it until she blows.. LOL

TRA's are naturally noisy. Maybe get on a couple similar sleds and see if yours is noticably different. ??
