Well got up early this morning and headed to Swan Hills since it snowed yesterday and I had an itch that needed to be scratched....... The highway sucked with all the snow from last night :d. Made it as far as Trapper Lee's and said this will do (originally headed for Goose Tower) and plowed snow up to the front bumper of the truck into the staging area .

Looks pretty good! how much snow was there up in the hills?

Knee deep was the best we found, Goose Tower always seems to get more from what people tell me so that'll be the next trip........ Hmmm, think I'm feeling sick again tomorrow  :d:d:d

Ft.Assinaboine actually got more snow then swan Hills, I would be a bit cautios on going to goose tower. You made the right choice on stopping at trappers, as soon as you climb the 5 mile hill going into Swan Hills the snow drops from about 10"-12" to about 5"-6".

What are the directions from Swan Hills to where you unloaded. I'm working north of town about 30km and 10km into the bush. I get the occasional day off with no time to get home but might be nice to bring the sled up after Xmas and go for the occasional ride. Thanks.

After x mas you can ride right out of town...should be lotsa snow by then........bylaw for sleds and quads to the trails.....etc.....ok as long as your not tearing around like a mad man through town.

I live out at the rig, only go to town once in a blue moon for groceries or a beer. So I'm looking for a place to park and unload from deck to go riding. A place where I can leave my truck, that won't bother anyone. Thanks

Saw your tracks out of trapper leas yesterday. Went from Barrhead to Kinuso and it looked like the most snow was in between Barrhead and Trapper leas. Buddy measured 14" on top on the BBQ, right around Neerlandia

Trapper Lees is South of Swan Hills on the way to Ft.Assinaboine and its a provincial camp ground and the snowmobile club has a loading ramp there. It's on the East side of the highway, trails all over the place just pick one and go.
