I've started to look at high yield divided stocks. I found a few that pay dividends monthly. Trying them out now, upwards of 18-19% yield per year. When in a tfsa the dividends are tax free. Plan to keep reinvesting then to basically compound the return. main draw back is the trade commission. The stock price is quite stable as these are Financial stocks. Meaning they are basically funds that invest in big companies, usually banks.

FTN.TO is 14% now. Was 16% when I bought

Be careful with high dividend stocks, they are the targets of shorting. Happened to me, all turned out good in the end but just be aware of that.

Either way good luck

Over the last month I sold off about 75% of my portfolio. Was definitely a good decision, just wish I sold off the little bit of bitcoin I had.

I just hope this gentle correction keeps going, makes it less likely that we'll see a big crash.

Bitcoin is down 75% from its high, not exactly a gentle correction! Haha

Im still way up from when i bought most of it at around 4000$ Cad, but at this point i dont feel like liquidating it, so just going to use the opportunity to acquire more.

Happy to have my precious metals also, wouldn't mind picking up a bit more.

Sorry I was referring more to the stock market and it's correction.

I don't even hold Bitcoin myself, I own it through ETFs in my trading accounts. Mostly because I'm lazy and it's quicker to move the money back to stocks if I wanted.

At 20 k for bitcoin id say that’s a major corection. Hang in there if our government continues to dominate the market it will come back, we need to hide our wealth and keep praying eyes from looking. I think crypto is going to make a comeback.

Anyone else trade stocks anymore, or did you all cash out to buy Turbo Sleds instead?

Natural gas has been super low the last couple weeks, going to see if I can take advantage of it, was up 25% on HNU today.

Not for long.

Our entire country is built on a pile of debt, eventually its going to crumble.

If you have time to watch Inside Job is a good documentary, detailing the '08 crash. Lots of similarities between then and now.
