Hello:
Any one from AB interested in cross country racing?
Any one have a new sled coming?
I would like to hear from any one that is interested
in maybe doing some practice.
I am looking at running the I-500 this year.
Alan
I too would be very interested in a cross country race. I use to ride cross country motocross and loved banging through the trees. This would be a great idea.
r u talking the soo I-500, or the x amount of laps I-500. did the real deal I-500, in 1980, and 1991. and almost did the gold rush classic in alaska with steve martin's dad clare martin. always enjoyed cross-country. i'd be interested for sure.
Hey Dusty looking to mod up susans 500 touring classic a little got rmk seat and tank from you a few years back any ideas ? clutching perhaps pipes or can
I would be into this as well. What would you be looking at ? Would unsupported single riders be able to participate or would you be looking at a team event ?
Good to see the interest.
My new race sled is in.
I will be practising for the Red lake I-500 put on by USCC.
It is ran over 3 days open course not laps like the soo.
I will running by myself as well as on a team.
I will be interested in some practice days on a set course.
To practice with me you would have to have a tech vest for sure.
I use shin guards and elbow guards as well.

there must be someone here who has done it before. ZRRr Do we want to start this race up. maybe the stonyplain club will let us have it there. like a poker rally except.....faster and no cards.......with a scantly clad flag girl.....hey i like ths idea...do it like a leman start run to the sled and start it
Wasn't it Big Dog that was talking about this last year, at Sylvan or close to it?? Not sure what it would take but working with a club would be beneficial. There is always the insurance issue.
But hey....if there is scantily clad flag girls :d
i think maybe.. thought that was a hill climb thing. but if they can get insurance for snow drags i would think that would be a start. should be the same thing..sorta
Ok here it is, I know Lynn would be interested, and has raced for years. You need an association to do it so here you go. Sorry in advance for winning all the races! LOL
Here is the NSRA website.

I think the reason most of the races got cancelled last year was due to the lack of volunteer workers.
It takes a ton of resources to put on an actual race.
If you have interest contact them through the NSRA page.
They used to have one every year in Winnipeg. They left from west side of the peg and went straight south into the states. Used to be huge, had road crossing and everything, many volunteers to run somthing like that.
