You might want to dig into that again, we are switching from Telus to Koodo, $50/month for 10gb of data at Koodo, we are currently paying $75/month for the same thing at Telus.
Is Koodoo owned by Telus?

Yup. Just the cheaper, no frills version. Which is good for up here because they have the best coverage.
Wondering about the speeds between the 2 Telus vs Koodo is 1 throttled down as some have said Koodoo on 1 side of the house was 120mbps with telus and switched and now they get 3mbps down. Would like to hear from some folks that have tried the speed test on Lte not wifi.

I'm still waiting for my SIM card to come in the mail, I'll post up some results when it comes in.

Before switching to Starlink we had a Telus hub with 100 gig data $75/ month and always got dinged for over data $50/month, explornet $140/month. Never had better than 5mbps speed on either and most days in summer it was nearly useless when tourists are in the valley. Rogers cell for 2 cells is 10 gig each $240/ month.
Now with the Starlink it's $140/ month unlimited data.
Hardly use cell data at home now so should be able to cut down on that cost too.

Thanks ABMax look forward to hearing about some speed tests because the big 3 will never divulge that to the consumer. I am thinking there is something there not telling.

I'm gonna have to double check, but I think that covers 3 cel phones and hub. We also have Telus satellite TV but I think that's on a separate bill. Telus hub sucks donkey balls . Just waiting on Elon to send me my dish. Should have kept Ron's.

FWIW here is what I'm getting on Telus with 4G. Keep in mind I live in the city with good service.

Will be interesting if you get the same when u switch to K, to me as long as the phone has service outta town in the boondocks all is good. but in town is what i need for email/workwise as those would be greatly effected if to slow.

My telus hub has been decent. For a bit there was bad hiccups of service cutting out for a few seconds, but 95% of the time speed is great, not nearly as good as in the city on fibre, but best option I have.

I just tested my koodo in Calgary. 4g. Between 6-9 down and sub 1s up haha. I know when we were camping in Nordegg, my buddy was over 150 down on Telus 5g

Got it switched over today, speed tests look very similar, I'm going to say the service is the same, especially considering 4G normally slows down here around this time. Top test is Koodo, bottom is Telus.

So far I'm happy, Koodo's self service site is easier for me to navigate, and we are getting a $5/month credit for adding the second line, all in we are $102.50/month now with 2 phones and 10gb data each. Telus was $158.42/month for the exact same thing. Keep in mind we own both our phones outright and don't have that added to our bill.
