I dont think that every person on the net that has used stuff for sale has the intent
of ripping someone off,but some sure do.It's fair to say that some people
dont know that much about the items they are selling,and come up with a number that
is unrealistic.Other people are just waiting for a sucker to come along.
I wish there was less of those people on this big blue marble of ours.

Ya, they do. The problem with Kijiji is the numb nuts that absolutely waste your time with lowball offers. Our rec hockey team had an old limo and we were trying to sell it. My buddy put his cell number on there and we were sitting around having a few beer the one night and he starts getting texts from some muppet. Ad clearly states, asking $900. First text "Limo still for sale?", reply "yes", "Will you take $200?", reply "No, we'll take $1200", "but you're asking $900?", reply "No kidding, so why did you offer $200?" End of conversation.

I refuse to sell anything on there. All common sense and normal negotiation go out the window.
