Anyone have suggestions on the best way to repair this? I took my front track shock out to upgrade the spring and found the mounting holes oblonged and my shock is toast. I gues the shock not doing it's job put a lot of pressure on the rails. I need a new shock too if anyone has one. This was taken with my camera phone so the quality is not the best.

Could you drill a new hole or use the other existing hole?

I was thinking of that and I'm not sure how it will affect the geometry of the suspension. I may just try it so I can ride on Friday and look at new rails for a summer project.

Have a good welder fill the hole and then drill it out again. Also, there used to be a company that advertised rail repair kits in the mags. Can't remember their name, but I did find this: Parts Products - Al's Snowmobile

Hey, I think this is it:
