Looks like my basement is getting gutted and refinished......

Not sure where the water came in but it did.... this is gonna be a fun month....

I can sympathize. A 3 year old bedroom in my basement is getting a full makeover as well.

Sorry to hear about your basement....

We pulled up all the carpet today, gonna turf the underlay... cut the drywall up 3' and monitor....

my eaves are the issue, gotta keep them clean... expensive lesson.

I think a good rule of thumb is 90% of the water that ends up in your basement comes off your own roof. so yes clean eves are a must

I'm in the same boat, all the base boards and drywall on my west wall are toast. Carpet is done too, plus some mildew/mold. I had my gutters cleaned this year and new spouts put on so that shouldn't be it.
Pretty sure yard isn't slopped properly.
Adjuster said 30k+ damage, awesome.

Yeah, thnx. I just wish "they" could do everything properly when "they" build the house instead of most things!!:realmad:
